Jeff Timmons Biography
Transitioned from teen hero to young adult
entrepreneur, keeping his professionalism and enthusiasm
Known as the founding member of the multi-platinum selling group
98 Degrees. He has gone solo, at least, temporarily, and plans to
perform with his beloved group again that brought such mega hits
as "The Hardest Thing" "I Do." "Invisible
Man" "Give Me Just One Night" "Because of You"
and the number one hit with Mariah Carey "Thank God I Found
You". 98 Degrees' albums reached gold or platinum status in
15 countries around the world. After a stellar career with 98 Degrees,
Jeff has single-handedly written and produced his first solo album,
released as a joint venture between his own company, Rising Phoenix
Media, LLC and SLG Music. The album gave him a Top 20 hit on both
the Billboard and Radio and Records charts with the lead off single
"Whisper That Way" and was the most added single at radio
every week leading up to its peak position. The album also produced
3 more chart topping singles worldwide.
One early career highlight for Timmons included singing at the White
House. "I've never been so nervous before a performance, when
we were to sing acappella for President Clinton. It was the first
time we were doing 'Ave Maria' in public and it was live on TV for
a White House Holiday Special." No need for anxiety - the group
was invited back. Other highlights include hosting, appearing and
performing on such shows as MTV's "TRL," "Beach House,"
"House of Style," "Video Music Awards," "American
Music Awards," "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve,"
"The Tonight Show," and "The Teen Choice Awards"
(for which he is the owner of their coveted award surf board). Timmons'
group also received a Radio Music Award to go with the many platinum
records on his wall.
Timmons recently co-wrote and co-produced both of Jordan Knight's
recent top 15 hits, "Where is Your Heart Tonight," and
"Say Goodbye," and has penned and produced hits for artists
all over the world.
Jeff shows no signs of limiting himself as a musician, producer
and songwriter. He will be appearing on three national TV shows
in 2007. His VH1 reality show debuts in April. He was recently cast
in the MY Networks' new nighttime novella called "Dangerous
Love." Timmons' other TV show will air in the summer of 2007.
His company Rising Phoenix Media, LLC is on the rise as one of the
most cutting edge entertainment ventures of the new millennium.
It is an independent recording, production, distribution and artist
development company that creates visibility for artists using traditional
and non-traditional marketing methods.
